Selection of Mixed Amines in the CO2 Capture Process

In order to select the best mixed amines in CO2 capture process, absorption of was explored at required concentrations by using monoethanolamine (MEA) as a basic solvent, with diisopropanolamine (DIPA), triethanolamine (TEA), 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP), and piperazine (PZ). Here, bubble column used scrubber, continuous operation adopted. The Taguchi method for experimental design. conditional factors included type amine (A), ratio (B), liquid feed flow (C), gas-flow rate (D), concentration (E). There were four levels, respectively, total 16 experiments. efficiency (EF), (RA), overall mass transfer coefficient (KGa), scrubbing factor (ϕ) indicators determined steady-state balance two-film models. According analysis, importance parameters optimum conditions obtained. terms (absorption factor) (RA/ϕ), is D > E A B C, C A, B, are A1B4C4D3E3, A1B3C4D4E2, A4B2C3D4E4, A1B1C1D4E1. condition validation results showed that optimal values EF, RA, KGa 100%, 30.69 × 10−4 mol/s·L, 1.540 l/s, 0.269, respectively. With regard selection amine, it found (MEA + AMP) performed process.
